The Suites
How many suites do you have? How many people can
be catered for?
There is one apartment and three suites.
Each suite is ideal for two people but a sofa-bed for a third
person may always be added. Cribs are provided on request
free of charge for under-3s.
The apartment can accommodate up to 6 people in total –
2 in the bedroom and 4 in the living room.
Is breakfast included? What time is breakfast served?
Yes, complimentary Italian breakfast is
offered every morning. Occupants of the matrimonial apartment
suite will need to walk the 150 metres to the Via del Babuino
property however.
We serve breakfast from 7:30-10am.
Do you have room safes?
Each room has an individual combination
safe.
Is there Room Service?
Unfortunately not, but our Concierge will
be present in the reception area of the Spanish Steps Suites
throughout the day.
Are there shared bathrooms?
No, all of our bathrooms are en suite.
Do you cater for disabled people?
Unfortunately this ancient city is not very
disabled-friendly and many buildings, including ours, are
not equipped with an elevator.
Can I smoke in the room?
We’d prefer it if you didn’t!
Services and Facilities
Is there a bar?
Yes, our reception area doubles up as a bar for refreshments,
open only during the day however. Each suite is provided with
a complimentary mini-bar.
Do you have a safe at the reception?
Yes, we can store items for you at reception.
Please consider leaving valuable items with us if you are
checking out but not leaving Rome until later in the day.
Rome is a safe city, but pick-pocketing does occur.
Can we store our bags with you for the day?
Yes, you can leave your luggage with us
from when you check out until 7pm. If you wish to store your
bags for a longer period, we will keep them locked in our
office.
What kind of keys do you use?
We use electronic card keys, as you would
find in most modern hotels today. We do not store personal
data on the keys. They expire once you check out.
What if I am leaving too early to be able to have
breakfast?
If you would like breakfast 10-15 minutes
early, we are happy oblige, just let us know. Otherwise, we
will prepare a breakfast-to-go for you.
What excursions and activities can be arranged via
the Spanish Steps Suites Concierge?
City tours on horse and cart, tours of the
Vatican City and Sistine Chapel, tours of the Colosseum and
Roman Forum and all of Rome’s other places of interest.
We’ll be happy to organise bookings for special events,
concerts, theatre, opera, restaurants and cinema. All in all,
our knowledgeable and multi-lingual Concierge is at your service
to ensure you have the best possible trip!

Arriving
What time is check-in and check-out?
We ask guests to check out before 11:00am
although you can leave your luggage with us until later. Check-in
can be any time as long as you let us know beforehand, though
if you arrive before 2pm you may have to wait to enter your
suite. In any case you may leave your luggage with us.
How far are you from the airport?
Rome city centre is about 30 km from Fiumicino
airport and 15km from Ciampino Airport. Taxis coast a fixed
price of €40 and €30 respectively before 11pm, at
which point public transport also finishes.
How far are you from the train station and the Metro?
The matrimonial apartment is literally 10
seconds from Metro Spagna, the Via Del Babuino Suites, where
you check in, are about 150 metres away. Spagna is 3 stops
from the main train station – about 1 km.
Do you have airport pickup/dropoff?

Costs & Privacy
What is the price?
Our competitive rates are seasonal and can
be accessed via our Live
Reservations page. We’re sure you won’t
find accommodation of this high standard at better rates.
If you do, please let us know.
Is the online booking system secure?
Absolutely, we employ SSL 128 BIT
Encryption, the same security system used by internet
banks, to ensure your card details are not seen by anyone
else.
Why do you need to take my card details?
For security purposes – we don’t
take a deposit on the booking, but if you fail to cancel in
time we will charge you for the first night of your booking.
Cancellations should be made at least a week in advance.
What credit cards to you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Euro,
CartaSi, and Diner’s Club.
What about my email address?
We promise we will not
share your email address with any third party whatsoever.
Do the prices displayed include taxes?
Yes, the price displayed is the full price,
no surprises.
